Life stages
Egg, hatchling, juvenile, adult.
A Jeli grows through four stages, on time and care.
| Stage | |
|---|---|
| Egg | No needs, no speech. Rocks and cracks. Can be hatched early with Warm the egg. |
| Hatchling | Mostly babble. Hungry often, tires quickly. Few toys unlocked. |
| Juvenile | Speech starts to make sense in places. More toys. Steadier needs. |
| Adult | Mostly recognisable sentences. Everything unlocked. |
What changes#
Speech. Fluency rises at each stage. See Learning Jeli.
Toys. New toys unlock by stage. See Toys.
Appetite and stamina. Younger Jelis use food and energy faster.
Size and shape. Each stage is drawn differently.
What doesn't change#
Species, colours and crest are set at hatching. So is its name.
Hearts, treats, records and vocabulary carry across a stage change.
