Mood
The ten bands, and what a sulking Jeli refuses to do.
Mood is how your Jeli feels about you. It is not the same as the four needs, and it is not the same as hearts. A well-fed Jeli you woke up three times last night is a well-fed Jeli in a bad mood.
You never see a number. The app names the band it is in.
The ten bands#
| Band | What it means |
|---|---|
| Devoted | the top of the scale |
| Warm | where a new Jeli starts |
| Content | nothing to complain about |
| Settled | nothing to complain about |
| Restless | hides, plays games badly, brings less home |
| Miffed | hides, plays games badly, brings less home |
| Sulking | hides, plays games badly, brings less home |
| Cross | won't play at all |
| Resentful | won't play at all |
| Withdrawn | won't play at all |
What moves it#
Down: being woken to be played with, being left dirty or hungry, and long gaps with no attention.
Up: ordinary good care, petting, playing at a reasonable hour, and time.
Why a game suddenly got harder#
A Jeli in the bottom three bands refuses to play at all. In the three above those it will play, but it holds back: it sandbags a round of Catch and brings less home from a wander. Nothing is broken. Look at the mood band before you look for a bug.
